A copy of our subscriber newsletter from April 2017.

With April Fool's Day and Easter behind us, April was a fun month for digital marketing! Google has started using more images in their featured snippets: Here's yet another reason to start adding more visuals to your web pages for Google to feature them in search results! This will help your search results stand out. For more visual marketing trends, Twitter is going to start selling video ads in front of Periscope videos and Facebook is promising to bring some interesting new live-streaming features to the platform. On a less exciting note, Google's March update called Fred was confirmed to be a Quality Update, so keep an eye on your traffic and download this IMN whitepaper explaining the quality concept in much detail. Also, let us know if you need help figuring out whether your site was affected by Fred.
