I finally got around to adding a new poll.
It seems like every week there’s a new SEO Podcast show starting up (The latest one is “The Search Pulse” with men of Search Engine Roundtable).
There’s a great list of several SEO podcasts on WebmasterRadio.fm if you’re ever looking for some. Some of the very best minds in SEO can be found there.
So now I’ve got to ask….look to your left, there’s the poll – Please vote for how often you listen to postcasts.
What are your favorite podcasts shows?

I do listen to The Daily Searchcast, and then there are a couple of fun weekly ones – The Now Show (BBC Radio 4 light comedy – http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/comedy/nowshow.shtml) and Fighting Talk (BBC Radio 5 sporting punditry/ quiz show – http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/programmes/fightingtalk.shtml). I’m trying to get into SEO rockstars, so we’ll see how that goes…
My favourite podcast shows are:
The Daily SearchCast
Net Income
Click This
SEO Rockstarts
Brendon Sinclair’s Business Mix
and Sportsweek (from the BBC – not about SEO).
Are you thinking of doing one?
I listen to them quite a bit but not daily. I like the Daily search Cast, SEO rock Stars and Net Income.
I think Barry Schwartz & Chris Bogs are great guys so I’ll be sure to listen to The Search Pulse as well.
I like the Search Pundant format. It reminds me of the McLaughlin Group on PBS. It would be great if they had a Black Hat Spammer on the show once and a while to help keep the opinions and commentary balanced and possibly instigate an argument once and a while.
I believe they will be reporting on forum discussions. There is always someone who has a dissenting POV on the thread. Why not invite him on the show and have a debate?
Here is a good topic for debate. PPC Arbitrage – Good or bad for the industry?
Mike – I’ve toyed with the idea a few times….but as of today, I don’t think I’ll ever do a podcast…..hum..but maybe a video cast….naw…I doubt it…but I never say never.
I have only picked up SEORadio, but mainly because I do not know others. Thanks for the resource. 🙂
I do one of the few podcasts that teaches seo. If you type in SEO podcast in Google it is #1 Most podcast talk about SEO news, not methods or how to. This one does.
I’ve found that listening to podcasts is a less efficient use of my time than reading blogs.
I agree with Mr SEO. Joe does a great show and it’s very entertaining also. He goes over basic SEO techniques and article submission ideas.
I don’t listen to podcasts, but I don’t listen to the radio either. I like everything in article or transcript form, and I save my ears for listening to good music.
The Daily SearchCast live (Tuesday – Friday) and then archived versions of SEO Rockstars, Strikepoint and NetIncome… all from WebmasterRadio.fm.
Oh and once in awhile I listen to That’s a Wrap so I can listen to Daron and Greg rant on something. Very entertaining!
I’ve found that podcasts can be a great way to make my time waiting at karate school, dance school, brownies, religious classes, swim classes, birthday parties and other physically but not mentally present child related activities into productive time.
I listen to SEO rockstars, good karma, net income, domain masters, the hook, daily search cast and two other non-search related podcasts.
I download most of the SEO related podcasts from WMR and listen to them on my drive to work. NetIncome is my fav because Shoe is very open and veritably uses his own success to teach others to succeed.
I am very much looking forward to The Search Pulse, as well.
Its easier for me to read news than listen. Therefore I don’t listen to podcasts.
I suppose it depends on whether you are auditory or visually inclined.
MR SEO: Thanks for the heads up about the podcast.
I’ve just listened to Good Karma for the first time and am also looking forward to The Search Pulse.
Sorry Jim, this is becoming a forum thread. I think that what you do would make a great podcast.
I like the Mr SEO podcast. It doesn’t assume a high level of technical knowledge, which is a plus for me. It’s easy to listen to and informative, especially if you are new to SEO.
I think that Mr SEO podcast enthralling sight.
I will give everything a chance but to be honest with you there is not much talked about that I do not already know about or have seen via my RSS feed reader and the web already. Looking forward to checking out The Pulse…and as long as it doesn’t turn into a self promoting circle jerk I will continue to listen.
NetIncome and SEO Rockstar are the ones i like to listen while riding bike. Those podcasts are one of the reasons i like to ride my bike so often;)
I used to download postcasts all the time but Russian ISP rates have killed it for me. 1GB costs me $120 at the moment – which actually makes satellite a viable option. With 20 of us in the office, well you can guess the monthly bill is pretty scary.
My favourite podcast shows are SEO Rockstarts and The Daily Searchcast
I listen occassionally, but I find them very hard to listen to. Most of the ones I have listened to are full of adverts which have all the worst features of a TV game show.
Theres a reason I don’t watch TV anymore and spend all my time on the net… 🙂
My favorite podcast shows are Click This, The Daily Searchcast and SEO Rockstarts.
I believe the best marketing podcasts are created by Eric Mattson at marketingmonger.com. He is on a quest to complete 1000 podcasts all related to online marketing and marketing in general. Somehow he lands interviews from some very well-known names, and even the obscure interviews offer some very interesting opinions.
