I received 2 emails in the past 24 hours from folks who know me, showing me an email that was sent to them that looks like We Build Pages in participating in 3 way linking….but these are NOT from us… They appear to be sent by a company from India called SEO Depth Company.
One email was sent by kishwer <[email protected]>, and the other email was sent by eajaz.eajaz <[email protected]>
The emails look like this:

So here’s these people using a scraped version of webuildpages.com (at http://webuildpages . 50webs.com/(remove spaces on each side of the dot) to make it look like We Build Pages is doing 3 way linking! And on that scraped We Build Pages.com page, there is a link to “Web Design India” going to syrup technologies . com.
SEO Depth Company You’re evil for using my company name for your Spam! I don’t care if you spam, but don’t use my brand.
Syrup Technologies, you’re the Only link on the copy of my homepage…and I’m guessing you’re in the same bed with SEO Depth Company.
So here’s your Karma, deal with the reputation problem I just gave you.
I hate fighting, and rarely do…but my brand reputation is at stake, and sending emails offering links on a scraped webuildpages.com is just plain evil in my eyes. If you spam, don’t do it under my company name.

FYI, I called and wrote to 50webs to have them remove the page…let’s see how long that takes.
Good luck with this Jim. We chase down scraper sites when ever we can, but have very little luck. The example you gave above is just nuts. Scraping is one thing, but them using it as an email spam is another.
Jim, man I hate spammers and I was just talking with my wife last night (she is a photographer) about people stealing work. The Internet makes it too easy to just “right click – save as” and people don’t see it as stealing.
