User Experience, Search Intent and SEO: How to Prioritize Your Customer in Your SEO Strategy

User experience is crucial for your business success.

These days, consumers are willing to pay for a better experience.

On the other hand, consumers’ expectations are high and if you are not meeting those but your competitor does, the consumers will choose your competitor even if your pricing is better.

But what really got marketers talking about user experience is the fact that Google announced it to be a ranking factor.

What role does user experience play in SEO?

To discuss user experience and SEO, Jim Boykin, CEO of Internet Marketing Ninjas, and Ann Smarty, IMN’s analyst, invited Duane Forrester, a well-known SEO expert who has over 20 years of direct search and digital marketing experience, including content development, planning ad campaigns, managing ad buys, running e-mail and social media programs and more.

To define your user experience and consequent content plan:

  • Analyze your keywords
  • Keep a close eye on your internal site search

To create a content strategy based on the above, you need to collect all the keywords and questions on a specific topic, group them by user intent and create content based on that user intent.

Instead of creating one huge page that would be ranking for all of those keywords, we prioritize the user experience these days.

It is also essential to understand who your customers are. Millennials’ search intent (or priorities) may be different from those of Generation X customers.
