A few days ago we started to notice some new archives from Internet Archive Wayback Machine.
From what I recall, the last dates that the wayback machine was showing for archived sites was the summer of 2008.
We’re now seeing some sites showing archived dates right up to 5 days ago.
It looks like bigger sites are starting to show newer archived dates…could this be the start of a big rollout of updated wayback information (isn’t that and oxymoron (“updated wayback information”)??
I just found a forum comment by Gordon @ IA (Internet Archives) where he states on July 6th:
There was a very small index update last week. A result of this update is that some very-recent (as late as June 2010) content is now available, even as most content from the last 24 months awaits a bulk update.
The relevant FAQ items (and small note atop each date-results page) have been updated to reflect that this may sometimes happen.
– Gordon @ IA
so we still have to wait for the “bulk update”… any idea when that will come? Gordon?

Google nicely has a wayback of 5 days ago!
Google.com in the wayback machine shows (today) up to June 10, 2010.
That was the only one I could find from 2010.
But here’s some 2009 ones that I believe are new updates (think the last dates they had was summer 2008.
Then there the rest of us in 2008
webuildpages.com – still April 1 2008
Been a long time Internet Archive – glad to see some updates!
